Our Site
Agentsmith.ca is run by Kelly Smith REALTOR® and maintained by her husband Justin Smith (me). Our website address is https://agentsmith.ca. We are committed to respecting the privacy of our visitors.
Automatically Collected Information
The nature of the internet is such that web servers automatically collect certain information about a visit to a website, including the visitor’s Internet Protocol (IP) address. IP addresses are unique numbers assigned by Internet Service Providers (ISP) to all devices used to access the Internet. Similar to other websites, this site’s web server is also known to log the time that the site is accessed, and which sections (i.e., pages and posts) were visited. This information is utilized by Agentsmith.ca solely for website development purposes and is considered non-identifiable information in the absence of other specifying information that would have to be voluntarily provided by you. In fact, on our user end of the Jetpack analytics tool which conveys this information, we do not even readily see the IP addresses of visitors or the exact time they visited, but merely a count of the number of page views and unique visitors our site receives on a daily basis.
We do not automatically gather any other specific information about you, such as your name, email address, phone number, or home address. We would obtain this type of information only if you supply it to us, for example, by email or by filling in buyer/seller consultation or contact forms.
Communicating with Agentsmith.ca and Kelly Smith REALTOR®
If you choose to send us an email or complete buyer/seller consultation or contact forms online, your personal information is used by Kelly Smith in order to respond to your inquiry, and possibly to follow-up with you again at a later time unless you opt out or express no interest in further communication. Your information may also be seen by Justin Smith in the maintenance and administration of the Agentsmith.ca website and email account. The information you provide will not be shared with or used by any other people, businesses, groups, or institutions.
In interacting with Kelly Smith through the scope of this website’s contact or buyer/seller consultation forms, it is never necessary for you to send sensitive personal information, such as your Social Insurance Number or your date of birth, nor would we ever recommend you do so through non-secure electronic means.
Cookies
A digital marker is a resource created by the visitors’ browser in order to remember certain pieces of information for the web server to reference during the same or subsequent visit to the website. Examples of digital markers are “cookies”. Some examples of what digital markers do are as follows:
- they allow a website to recognize a previous visit each time the visitor accesses the site;
- they track what information is viewed on a site which helps website administrators ensure visitors find what they are looking for.
Agentsmith.ca uses digital markers like cookies on certain portions of the website. During your on-line visit, your browser exchanges data with our web server. The digital markers used do not allow us to identify individuals.
You may adjust your browser settings to reject digital markers, including cookies, if you so choose. However, it may affect your ability to interact with our website.
